Step 2: Find the points on both forearms and both feet

Treatment for Nausea

PC 6 is the primary acupressure point for treating nausea from motion sickness, pregnancy, the side effects of medication, and other causes. PC 6 is located on the inside of both of the forearms three finger widths up from the crease at the wrist and between the two tendons found in the center of the arm. PC 6 can be effective when used on one arm, more effective is pressed on both arms, or even more effective if combined with SP 4 as shown in Step 3 below.

SP 4

Find SP 4 on the inside of both feet about 1" up from the knuckle of the great toe. SP 4 can be used to assist PC 6. Combine the points by following the directions in Step 3 below.

Step 3: Scroll down and press the points in all 4 areas for relief

Locate and press the most sensitive spot in each area.  Press these spots deep enough to feel an achy or electrical sensation.  If you need to press harder use your thumb or (if your have long finger nails) try the blunt end of an ink pen.

1. Press PC 6 on the left forearm for about a minute while taking 3 or 4 DEEP, SLOW breaths. Left Forearm

2. Press SP 4 on the right foot for about a minute while taking 3 or 4 DEEP, SLOW breaths. Right Foot

3. Press PC 6 on the right forearm for about a minute while taking 3 or 4 DEEP, SLOW breaths. Right Forearm

4. Press SP 4 on the left foot for about a minute while taking 3 or 4 DEEP, SLOW breaths. Left Foot

Hey!
Is this supposed to work?

No relief?   Try these suggestions:

1. Check to be certain that you started by selecting the image that best matches the problem.  If you can find an image that is a better match try pressing those points.  If your condition changes or  if you feel pain in a new location after you press the first set of points go back to the previous page, select the image that best matches the new issue, and try using the new points.

2. Check the general areas around the point locations by gently pressing to find the most sensitive spot.  Pressing on the most sensitive spot in the area will usually give you the best results.
3. Follow the proper techniques for pressing the points. Press hard enough to feel a connection and then breathe in and out slowly three times while pressing for at least 15 to 30 seconds.  If you do not get any results you should try pressing hard enough that it is quite intense but, please don’t injure yourself.  Breathe into the pain. Take a two minute break and try again.

4. Try points in the same areas but, on the opposite arms and feet.
5. Contact an acupuncturist and make an appointment.  If this problem comes back again and again an individualized diagnosis and professional treatment may be necessary to resolve your condition.
